Good morning, friends of Cognito! We wanted to let you know about the parking situation this morning, for those of you who have appointments. Metro is re-paving 10th Avenue South, which is awesome, however you will be unable to park at a meter today. As for a space to park, there is a lot across the street from us that we can validate up to 30-mins. We apologize for any inconvenience and we look forward to seeing you all today!

Santorini Scent – Available at Cognito!
Santorini creators, Courtney and Frank Cuden, traveled to Santorini, Greece for their honeymoon in 2008. They instantly fell in love with the island. They loved it so much, that they wanted to create something that would remind them of the gorgeous island and the experiences they shared. They met with a perfume specialist in Chicago and decided to put Santorini in a bottle! After months of smelling, testing and smelling some more, they finally found the perfect combination of scents.

CASA Nashville
This month, we are spotlighting CASA Nashville. CASA, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates, provides trained community volunteers to advocate for the best interests of children who come to the attention of the court as a result of abuse or neglect. Staffed almost entirely by non-paid volunteers, CASA can make a real difference in the lives of children at risk. To learn more about CASA, check out their website. Adventures in Juicing
We have had lots of adventures here at Cognito. We’ve gone camping at Mark’s farm, worked out with Julia’s Body Shop and in December, we celebrated 10 years of being in business! Today, we have started a brand new adventure. We got a juicer! Today’s recipe was a delicious combination of carrots, celery, apples and oranges. If you have a favorite recipe, please feel free to share it with us!

Due to the holidays winding down, it looks like we’ll be closing early tonight! We’ll close at 6:00pm tonight, but we will be back at it at 9:00am sharp tomorrow morning! Happy Friday!

Thursday, December 27th: 10:00am – 8:00pm
Friday, December 28th: 10:00am – 8:00pm
Saturday, December 29th: 9:00am – 4:00pm
We will also be closed on Tuesday, January 1st for New Years Day!
We will return to regular hours beginning Wednesday, January 2nd. If we are closed and you need to schedule, re-schedule or cancel an appointment with one of our stylists, you may do so through our online booking system. I Run for the Party: Bridge to Bridge Run

Cognito Celebrates 10 Years!
Cognito is celebrating our 10-year anniversary on Saturday, December 1st! We are going to have a big blow-out celebration with balloons, cake and champagne! Please feel free to stop by anytime between 9:00am & 2:00pm for some delicious treats. We are so thankful for each and every one of our clients. Workin’ On Our Fitness
On November 12th, Amanda, Mark, Kat and Sarah started a Pre-Thanksgiving boot camp and cleanse at Julia’s Body Shop. Our day started with a work-out from 6:00am – 7:00am, then we rocked out some killer hair-do’s at the salon, all the while eating clean (no alcohol, bread or sugar). After 9 days, we all feel healthy and energized! We are so proud of ourselves that we wanted to share some of our results with you guys.
Amanda – lost 3 lbs and gained lean muscle
Mark – lost 3.5 lbs, he lost inches around his waist as well as gained lean muscle in his arms
Kat – gained lean muscle and lost inches around her waist and legs
Sarah – lost 3 lbs, and inches around her waist
What a great way to start this holiday season! If you have ever been interested in a boot camp, go to Julia’s Body Shop. Julia will push you to your limits with an infectious positive attitude that will make you do “just one more”.
